As a part of the plan in serving the word of God and maintaining a high level of Scientific Biblical education, the Bible society’s Middle East North Africa (MENA) Centre for Biblical Studies, in collaboration with the Biblical Federation in Lebanon, launched its first seminar, entitled “The Bible – book of the generations.”

The seminar took place in the MENA Center for Biblical Studies, at the Bible Society Center, Bauchrieh – third floor, on Friday February 27, at 7 pm.

Father Dr. Ayoub Shahwan, Lebanese Maronite monk, responsible for the doctorate department at the Faculty of Theology – Holy Spirit University – Kaslik (USEK), presented the topic, which included an overview of the Bible: sections, legal issues, original manuscripts, texts, ancient translations, “the Book” as a human heritage and Word of God in the world today.

Numerous people attended the presentation followed by a discussion and a reception, SAT7 TV channel covered the event.

– Friday May 29, 2015 “How was the old testament constructed?” presented by Rev. Dr. Hadi Ghantous (Old Testament researcher and teacher.)

– Friday October 30, 2015 “How was the New Testament constructed”, Dr. Daniel Ayoush, (New Testament teacher at Balamand University.)
