To convene, advocate, raise awareness and campaign the
importance of trauma healing among church and lay leaders and partners in the region, lead research and needs assessments and evaluate program effectiveness to foster the best stewardship of resources.
Several trauma healing projects are currently being undertaken in the MENA region due to the excessive violence and deep wounds that many communities are suffering from. Trauma healing has become a need and a necessity, mainly to equip the Church to deal with traumatized communities on a macro-coordinated level. The HMS Center seeks to coordinate, advocate, raise awareness, conduct needs assessments and research, organize events, and supervise/coordinate the various trauma healing programs in the region. The Center will also publish relevant materials in Arabic and other indigenous languages as bible-engagement tools in support of the various projects and partners engaged in trauma healing.
