Father Porphyrios is the representative of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East in the Board of the Bible Society Lebanon. He serves as Archpriest at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint George in Beirut. He is the Professor of Dogmatic Theology at the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand since 2006  and he served as Former Dean of the Institute between 2013 and 2020. He holds a Ph.D. in Dogmatic Theology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a visiting professor at many Faculties of Theology in Romania and Greece. He has published numerous academic articles in various international journals and periodicals. He is also the editor and co-editor of different academic books. His monograph The Resurrection and Life: The Eschatology of Saint Gregory Palamas was published in Greek in 2010 in Thessaloniki and in 2015 in Romanian in Sibiu and is appointed by the Faculty of Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a required textbook in the undergraduate programs of Studies of Theology. He is the President of the International Association of the Orthodox Dogmatic Theologians since 2018. And he is currently a member of the Bible Society Lebanon Board.
