V. Rev. Boghos Tinkjian was born in Aleppo, Syria. He has been admitted to the Armenian Theological Seminary in 2003. Upon graduating, he became a celibate priest, thus being a member of the Brotherhood of the Armenian Orthodox Church of the Holy See of Cilicia in Antelias, Lebanon. Rev. Tinkjian has earned his BA degree from the Armenian Theological Seminary in 2011 and has been appointed as the Assistant Librarian in Catholicosate’s public library during 2011-2012. Then he was appointed as superintendent in the Armenian Theological Seminary (2012-2013), where he taught Armenian Church Hymns (2011-2013). Then he obtained his Masters of Art in Theology (MAT) degree in Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in California, USA (2013-2015). Upon his graduation, he returned to the Armenian Theological Seminary as vice-dean (2016) where he continues to teach Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Greek, Early Church History and Theology of Religions. Rev. Tinkjian was appointed as Dean of the Armenian Theological Seminary in September 2016. Rev. Tinkjian was appointed as the representative of the Armenian Church in the International dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church, as well as in the Bible Society Board by His Holiness Aram I.
