During the Christmas season, from 17 Nov – to 8 Jan 2017, around 12150 people consisting of children, teachers, and parents watched the Christmas themed puppet show performed by the Bible Society programs department hosted at Arnaoon Christmas village, Batroun.
The play portrays an evil witch that tries to stop Santa Clause from making Christmas gifts. This witch takes on the form of a gift to enter Santa’s workshop and kidnaps him and his helpers. When the Christmas gifts were late, a young boy decides to take action to save the day. After he prays, a lamb comes to him and tells him that if they follow the Christmas star, its light will crush the witch and free Santa and his helpers.
The play aimed to deliver two important messages in a fun and simple way. The first is that Jesus is the main reason for Christmas. The second is that if we commit to Jesus, nothing can hold us captives.
We pray that this season has been full of blessings to you and your loved ones.
The Bible Society’s vision is to holistically meet the needs of communities through the transforming Word of God.
