Bible Society Hosts Bible-based Trauma Healing Workshop in Partnership with the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Lebanon (SGEC-L)
April 4, 2025 — Beirut, Lebanon
On April 4-5, the Bible Society, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Catholic Schools in Lebanon (SGEC-L), hosted a groundbreaking two-day training on Bible-based trauma healing for 25 dedicated teachers working with teens.
Held at the Bible Society premises, the workshop addressed the urgent need to equip educators with practical tools to support children facing emotional and psychological challenges in today’s difficult context.
Led by professional trainers specialized in psychology and drama therapy, the interactive sessions empowered teachers to recognize signs of trauma, create safe classroom environments, relate biblical narratives to real-life stories, and guide students toward healthy emotional expression and resilience.
“This training was a unique opportunity to strengthen our teachers’ capacity and faith to be not just educators, but also compassionate pillars of support for their students,” said one participant.
The Bible Society and the SGEC-L remain deeply committed to nurturing future generations and believe that physical and spiritual healing and hope begin in the classroom.
By investing in teachers, this partnership reaffirms its dedication to building a stronger, more resilient community, one teen at a time.
The Bible Society’s mission is to spread the Holy Bible’s message and culture to all generations through translating, publishing, and distributing the Scriptures using visual, audio-visual, readable, and digital formats, encouraging people to read and engage with God’s word, advocating the Bible cause to uphold human dignity, and partnering with all Churches and Christian institutions.
