The Sacred Texts’ controversies in Christianity and Islam

The organizing committee of the “The Sacred Texts’ controversies in Christianity and Islam” research seminar held an evaluation meeting for the third conference, which took place on February 24-25, 2023 under the title “The History of the Sacred Text Readings” at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.

The conference was organized by Saint Joseph University and Bible Society -Lebanon, in cooperation with the Institute for Abrahamic relations.

The meeting was chaired by Fr. Prof. Salah Aboujaoude S.J., Dean of Faculty of Religious Sciences at Saint Joseph University, attended by Dr. Mike Bassous, General Secretary of Bible Society, Sister Prof. Yara Matta, Director of Institute of Religious Sciences at Saint Joseph University, Fr. Prof. Edgard El-Haiby, Rev. Prof. Issa Diab, and Prof. Rola Talhouk, Director of the Institute of Islamic-Christian Studies at Saint Joseph University, Ms. Josette Ephrem, and Ms. Elsa Saikali.

The attendees of the evaluation meeting highlighted the success of the last conference and provided feedback and suggestions for the development of the upcoming fourth conference, which will be held on February 23-24, 2024.
