Institute for Leadership Development Training Workshops

Bible Society Lebanon conducted two important training workshops through its Institute for Leadership Development (ILD) center to equip leaders with tools and strategies needed to strive amidst uncertainty.

March 12-14, 2024, Bible Society organized a “Crisis Leadership” workshop to 35 senior staff and heads of department at Caritas Lebanon. The training began with a comprehensive exploration of the sources, phases, and types of crises; emphasizing on the importance of effective communication and well-informed decision-making tailored to the specific context of each crisis.

Participants benefited from exercises to nurture their inner self, stay focused on possibilities, seek out opportunities even in the midst of turmoil, and most importantly build their personal and organizational resilience to bounce back from adversity stronger than ever. This training provided the necessary information to understand the dynamics of crises.

Another one-day workshop was conducted on April 11, 2024, with Middle East Council of Churches (MECC) to 40 volunteers who had participated within MECC’s psychosocial trainings. Throughout the day, participants learned the principals of leadership models, styles and traits, connecting them to Biblical personalities and parables. The essence of visionary, strategic, servant, and team leadership, inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, were addressed. Through interactive exercises, attendees learned to align their vision with God’s purpose.

The final session focused on Jesus Christ’s leadership model and his attributes and approaches during challenging times. A leadership model that changed history, invested in his people, organized them and transformed their lives into a better outcome. Participants gained insights into leading with purpose and conviction to make a meaningful impact in their community.
