Despite the unstable conditions in southern Lebanon, Bible Society team did not hesitate to go to that area, providing spiritual, moral, and educational support, and bringing joy to the children who live daily in great fear due to the security situation.

On July 10, 2024, the programs’ team headed to the Rmayleh area in southern Lebanon, loaded with all the tools for the Biblical Puppet Show and Youth Program. Upon arrival, they were surprised by the large number of children eagerly waiting for the team’s arrival. There were about 600 children aged between 3 and 12 years.

The team presented a Puppet Show about the environment and preserving the nature that God has given us; the aim of the show was to raise children’s awareness about taking care of the creation and highlighting our role in preserving nature. God created nature for our benefit and to enjoy its beauty. The children saw how Walid, the hero of the play, left a fire burning in nature and did not extinguish it, resulting in a forest fire due to this negligence.

The team also presented an interactive program for the youth to enhance their teamwork skills and highlight the importance of working within a team. The youth learned about biblical figures such as Moses, Abraham, and Joseph and how they managed to lead their people. They also learned about the character of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who cares for his people. From these characters, they derived leadership traits.
